Summertime in CharlieWest is absolutely stunning, and the WVSO will be celebrating sweet summertime in one of the most beautiful historical landmarks on August 4th!
Home to the West Virginia Humanities Council, the MacFarland-Hubbard House was built in 1836, and is known state-wide as being one of the Kanawha Valley’s historic treasures. The house has survived a Civil War cannonball through the roof, and Federal troops recuperated within the walls. This beautiful venue steeped in rich history makes it perfect for an intimate chamber concert to celebrate the summer!
Sweet Sounds of Summer begins at 5:30 pm with wine and heavy hor d’ourves. You’ll have a chance to hear and meet two of our talented musicians, a violin and piano power couple known as the Fa2 Duo from 6:15-7:00 pm. Cristian (violin) and Victoria (piano) Fatu have performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States, and have enhanced the musical community of West Virginia greatly by making Charleston their home.
Tickets for Sweet Sounds of Summer are $50 to enjoy wonderful music, company, food, and drinks with a scenic site on August 4. Seating is limited – get yours today! Hope to see you there!
