The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra is about to embark on an historic season. The last conductor search happened in 2000 – 16 years ago, where we selected Maestro Grant Cooper who has led the WVSO to new heights of artistic excellence. Maestro Cooper announced his retirement in September of 2015, and thus, the search began.

Finding a new conductor is a daunting task, but with the help of the musicians, board, and community, the perfect fit can be found! Here’s where we are in the process:
