West Virginia Symphony Orchestra Announces AARP WV presents Paddles & Preludes: A Pickleball Tournament on April 9

           CHARLESTON, W.Va. (3/23/22) – The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) announces a new fundraising event, AARP WV, WVSO Paddles & Preludes: A Pickleball Tournament to be held at the Charleston Tennis Club on Saturday, April 9.

“AARP WV is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all West Virginians,” said Gaylene Miller, State Director for AARP West Virginia. “Enjoyment of the arts is crucial for many of our members, that’s why AARP WV supports the WV Symphony Orchestra and is proud to announce the AARP WV, WVSO Paddles & Preludes Pickleball Tournament. Join us Saturday April 9 for a fun day of pickleball supporting your beloved orchestra!”

AARP WV’s Paddles & Preludes: A Pickleball Tournament will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the Charleston Tennis Club. The tournament will be held round-robin style with prize winners in the men’s, women’s and overall categories. A light breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided for players as a part of their $35 entrance fee along with a commemorative sports towel. The event is held rain or shine and will be moved to indoor courts should weather demand it. Special themed prize baskets will be available for silent auction.
