West Virginia Symphony Orchestra announces Free Season Celebrations  concert on the West Side

CHARLESTON, W.VA. (11/21/22) - The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) is excited to announce a free holiday concert Season Celebrations on Saturday, December 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Charleston’s West Side.

Thanks to generous support of funding provided by the City of Charleston through the American Rescue Plan Act, the WVSO will present an abbreviated version of its traditional holiday concert at Emmanuel Baptist Church located at 1404 W Washington Street in Charleston. Admission to the concert is free and tickets are not needed for the one-hour concert that will be hosted with no intermission.

West Virginia Symphony Orchestra presents Around the World

CHARLESTON, W.VA. (10/31/22) – The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) continues its 2022-23 season and Music Director search Nov. 19 with Around the World at the Clay Center in Charleston.

On Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Clay Center in Charleston, guest conductor and candidate for the WVSO’s next Music Director, Scott Woodard will lead the WVSO through a program featuring music from Strauss, Vivaldi, Okoye, and Kalinikov. The concert will open with a special appearance by the WV Symphony Chorus.
