West Virginia Symphony Orchestra Announces Blockbuster Broadway! on Feb. 26 in Charleston and Feb. 27 in Parkersburg
/CHARLESTON, W.Va. (2/22/22) – The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) continues its season with the next offering in the ZMM Architects & Engineers Pops series, Blockbuster Broadway! on Saturday, Feb. 26 in Charleston, and Sunday, Feb. 27 in Parkersburg.
The hits of Broadway come to West Virginia, with Blockbuster Broadway! Guest conductor Michelle Merrill leads the WVSO in a celebration of show-stopping tunes from the biggest Broadway blockbusters of all time. Spend an evening with songs you love from "Wicked”, "Jersey Boys”, "The Lion King”, “Cabaret" and more performed by a trio of New York's top vocalists. It is the ultimate show tune extravaganza and a musical night you'll never forget!
The ZMM Architects & Engineers Pops Series concert will be hosted on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 pm at the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences in WV and is made possible by the generous support of United Bank, Steptoe & Johnson, PLLC, and Suttle and Stalnaker. The WVSO will also perform Blockbuster Broadway! at Blennerhassett School in Parkersburg beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27. Hosted by the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra of Parkersburg, tickets for the concert are starting at $25 for adults or $10 for students and are available at wvsop.org, at the door, or by calling 888.699.8767 (MYWVSOP).
In order to maintain the health and safety of the WVSO’s patrons, musicians, and staff, for all patrons over the age of 2, masks will be required to be worn for the duration of the concert, regardless of vaccination status. Additionally, the WVSO asks that attendees try to maintain a distance between others while in common spaces, such as the Ticketing Lobby, Grand Lobby, bathrooms, etc. The WVSO encourages all eligible individuals to get vaccinated to reduce the potential of unknowingly spreading COVID-19.
