West Virginia Symphony Orchestra Announces AARP WV presents Paddles & Preludes: A Pickleball Tournament on April 29
/CHARLESTON, W.Va. (3/31/22) – The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) announces the second annual, AARP WV, WVSO Paddles & Preludes: A Pickleball Tournament to be held at the Charleston Tennis Club on Saturday, April 29.
“AARP is proud to support West Virginia’s premier performing arts organization in hosting this fun community event,” said Gaylene Miller, AARP West Virginia State Director. “Paddles & Preludes aligns with our Livable Communities strategies in the Mountain State, promoting healthy lifestyles and activities that promote connecting with one another in our community.”
AARP WV’s Paddles & Preludes: A Pickleball Tournament will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at the Charleston Tennis Club. The tournament will include a maximum of 56 players and will be held round-robin style with prize winners in the men’s, women’s and overall categories. All tournament play will be held indoors at the Charleston Tennis Club.
Registration for the event is $40 per player, with all receiving a commemorative player gift along with provided sports beverages, water, and light refreshments. A cash bar will be available provided by the Charleston Tennis Club. Special themed prize baskets will be available for silent auction. Registration is available online at wvsymphony.org and closes at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 26.
