WV Symphony Orchestra announces ZMM Architects & Engineers Pops on the Water on June 20
/CHARLESTON, W.VA. (6/7/21) –The WV Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) is excited to announce ZMM Architects & Engineers Pops on the Water, a free concert to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 20 at Haddad Riverfront Park.
Sponsored by ZMM Architects & Engineers and United Bank, the free, outdoor concert will be led by guest conductor and member of the WVSO brass section, Stephen Campbell. The all-brass ensemble will perform popular favorites such as Andy Wolfe’s “Fanfare for the Brave” and Chris Hazell’s “Three Brass Cats”. Closing out the performance will be a rendition of “Country Roads” celebrating West Virginia Day, also on June 20.
“We are thrilled to host another free, outdoor concert for the public this month and welcome everyone to join us on June 20 at Haddad Riverfront Park for an afternoon of music and fun,” said WVSO President Joe Tackett.
A special pre-concert brunch will be held from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Capitol City Ballroom at the Four Points by Sheraton. The meal will include a full buffet of breakfast and lunch options as well as a carving station as bottomless mimosas. Brunch attendees will also receive complimentary parking in the Four Points by Sheraton parking garage.
